I built this black walnut roll-top desk during my senior year of high school.  I was awarded second place in the Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society Competition in May 2003.  This desk has several burled wood raised panels, drawers, and accents.  Every part of this desk, except for the drawer pulls, was handcrafted, including the roll-top.  The back, not pictured, was made solid with raised panels as well.  This desk also included two pull-out writing boards on each side to accommodate a right or left-handed person.
